Engineering for Our Environment
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” —Jane Goodall
Yesterday was Earth Day, a day to consider our world, our environment and our impact on it. The old adage “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” stands strong to this day, encouraging each of us to take small steps to better care for our Earth.
As engineers we are constantly shaping the course of our developing world. As such, we have a duty and responsibility to consider the impacts of our design on the environment. Whether from gray water and low flow plumbing systems, energy saving LED and CFL light sources, or high-efficiency mechanical systems that improve our indoor air quality, we are strong supporters of using the latest technology to minimize environmental impact and meet energy code criteria. We are proud of our LEED project experience and welcome the opportunity to share our expertise with you.
Each of us has the opportunity to make a difference. Ours is engineering our building systems to benefit our environment. What’s yours?
